Hi ehsanz
I want to buy a CPU too. What was your processor preference?
Hi ihsnc
I bought model AMD Ryzen 5 3600x ( 6core 12 threats - 3.8 Mhz), but now I have a problem. My previous CPU was Intel. The same simulation that converged with Intel does not converge with AMD. I can't understand! Can anyone help?
Unfortunately i don't have experience with AMD processor.
I am thinking of buying this processor too, how did you find the performance of the AMD Ryzen 5 3600x processor on the speed of analysis?
I work on two-phase flows. The speed of this processor is relatively good. I just don't know why my run doesn't converge with this processor. I don't know if it's related to the processor or not.
Thanks for replying.
If you find any information please share.
Hi ehsanz
I bought model AMD Ryzen 5 3600. I tested it for AMD and INTEL processors and found that there was a difference in order of 10^-4. I heard that the difference is the small differences that the processors use in the command sets. However, I think that the difference between the results may be neglected compared to the speed of calculation.
The following discussion might be on value here if you have not already looked at it.
