Can anyone shed light on mach reflection that happens in bounded geometries with shocks?

Hello Fluids Experts,

Can anyone shed light on mach reflection that happens in bounded geometries with shocks?

In case of an oblique shock forming inside a closed channel, the shock would eventually hit the opposite wall of the channel and reflect back. Under specific circumstances, namely when the reflection angle is larger than the maximum deflection angle for the local Mach number (from the theta-beta-Mach relation), an oblique shock would not be reflected from the wall. Instead, a curved shock would generate from the reflection point. This effect is named Mach reflection.
