New Ansys Granta License
Hello! I have received our new Ansys license when I see has the Granta information embedded within it (below)
# 1. ANSYS Academic Multiphysics Campus Solution (50/500): 1 task(s) Lease expiring 30-Aug-2021 Customer # xxxxxx
# 2. ANSYS Academic Research HPC Workgroup 1024: 1 task(s) Lease expiring 30-Aug-2021 Customer # xxxxxx
# 3. ANSYS GRANTA EduPack (125): 1 task(s) Lease expiring 31-Aug-2023 Customer # xxxxxx
The problem that I'm running into is that the client side is unable to obtain a license from the license server. The new Ansys 2020R1 application runs without any issue and is able to grab a license. However, the CES Granta application is not.
Our fall semester starts Monday morning, so we are in a bit of a crunch time and I need assistance getting this resolved.
Thank you,
James

Hello James,
Did you install the GRANTA EduPack product, as that is what is provided with the license. It is available on the ANSYS Downloads page on the Customer Portal.
Thank you,
Matt
Yes, that has been installed. I have a colleague that is working with the client portion and I am one of the server administrators that handles the license manager. He is telling me that he is receiving the following error. He is pointing to our license server host name with the port 1055 that is specified within the license. Is there something that we're missing?
What version of the ANSYS License Manager do you have installed?
Ansys License Manage Release 2020R1
I've contacted you directly to request some additional files to troubleshoot this issue.
Dear Matt,
I have the same problem.
How do I fix it?
Thanks.
@JingLin Exactly what problem? Please share screenshots of error messages you're encountering. What do you currently have for licensing? It appears you may have an active commercial trial in place, have you tried contacting your local ANSYS team for support on the installation?
Dear Sir,
My problem is that the license cannot load from the license server.
Currently, I have found the solution via another post on the Ansys forum:
Thanks.
