progressive load on steel beam

hi,

I would like to ask a doubt regarding the application of progressive point loads. Is it possible to apply  an actuator load that was initially applied at a rate of 1.27 mm/min up to about 20.5 min and then at a rate of 0.25 mm/min until the specimen failed in ANSYS?

@PEP_ELZA Yes, it is possible, whether it is necessary is a different question.

If your materials have creep properties that come into effect at these short time scales, then you would want to simulate the true time the test takes.

But if your materials do not have creep properties, then time is irrelevant. Only displacement matters when things are moving this slowly.

In either case, you solve the model in Static Structural.
