Changing wind direction using UDF in Fluent
Hi all,
I would like to request you to help me for changing wind direction using UDF. I need to simulate the urban area which will have various building structures in the geometry. The domain will in rectangular shape. If I want to run a simulations for various wind directions with an interval of 5 degrees from 0 degree to 360 degrees, I need to automate the system to change the wind directions automatically and the all the simulations have to be completed.
Thank you in advance for the help

You can use input parameters either expression based or via UDF or manually. The output will be the direction vector of the wind.
Are you working in the Workbench?
Yes sir, I am working in the Workbench.
And how are you planing to define the direction? In the workbench you can create input parameters which might be based on some other parameters say something like having 360/degree intervall and use that indirectly in Fluent
In the Fluent setup, I need to specify the wind direction by changing the x and y components. At the end of the result for each wind direction, instead of changing wind direction manually, I need to automate it for all wind directions. I need to have a results for every 5 degree wind direction.
Thank you sir
You create 60 DPs in the workbench with input parameter angle. You use that angle in expressions to provide the x and y directions.
Sir, I am new to do the operations you have mentioned, if you could able to provide me some examples, I can try to do sir. Thank yo so much for your patience for my silly question.
