Contact between concrete elements

Iam using workbench to simulate a concrete jacket for a column ... i want to contact the new and old concrete ... i have used the friction contact with co officent 0.5 and 0.8 ... there is no different in results ... and i want to give allwable slipadge and gap distance .. how can i do that?

Frictional contact is programmed to follow Coulomb's law, (Section 13.174.3 of Theory Manual).

If the frictional stress at the contact interface does not exceed mu*P for mu=0.5 to 0.8, the contact status will remain closed -sticking and the results would be same.

They will only differ when mu and/or P becomes low enough for sliding to begin.

I am not aware of a way to define limits on slippage and gap distance for a frictional contact pair in Mechanical.

You might be able to do something like that with frictional joints in a rigid body dynamic analysis using stops and locks.
