New to the software and a little lost
Hi,
I have figured out a way to design wireless power transfer coil However, the simulation is not working for me. I was wondering if this is a computer issue on my part or I am doing something wrong with my setup. I have attached my ANSYS MAXWELL 3D design. Any further guidance on the situation would be appreciated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
To open the attached file just rename it from .zip to .aedt. Thank you!

Hi,
Essentially, I followed these two videos exactly, however I changed the design to the one attached.

As stated before, I was wondering if the simulation should be taking forever (literally) or if something is wrong on my end...maybe computer or my simulation setup. I also attached the error messages that are popping up when it gets stuck.
Hi, @kitzo2 ,
Looks like the main problem here is the COM engine non-responsive error, not your setup issue. You could try following:
1. Verify that CPU and RAM were not at 100% at the time of the error message. 2. if you have server license then be sure the network works properly. 3. if you have local license try not to use all cores let one core not for the simulation this could help sometime. 4. Don't connect to both Wi-Fi and LAN at the same time and don't switch network 4. If you are using VPN make sure your VPN connection is table. If you are using 2020R2, go to menu--> Tools-->Options-->General Options, under the General, Remote Analysis category tick “Use loopback address for local solves”.
Hi icellb1 ,
I am using the CMC offered virtual account which has has 4 cores and 16 GB of RAM available to a user. I ran my simulation (which I believe to be pretty simple) overnight and it still got stuck quarter the way through (attached picture). Do you think I will need a stronger computer or how could I get my simulation setup checked?
