Duplicate facets in .stp-file export with SpaceClaim
in 3D Design
I need to export a geometry from SpaceClaim in form of a .stp-file. However for adjacent bodies (such as two stacked boxes), the step file exports the adjacent surface with 2 different IDs because of the 2 bodies. Is it possible to export in a way that only saves 1 of the duplicate/adjacent surfaces and still has both bodies intact?

STEP or any other neutral format like iges etc. will always export two faces.
Such faces can be connected together to give only one face by using command 'share topology'. Once share topology is used then meshing will have only one face.
If you export STEP after share topology, then also it will have 2 faces.
Please see help manual for more details about these commands.
There are several videos available on share topology.
