also in this example in "define element type" they have used different type of element which is not available in my student version.

I recommend you find another example that is more recent than 2001. I don't build models in APDL, but maybe, in the last 19 years, ANSYS decided things had to be done in a different order. I don't know what is required, but try first defining a material, then defining a cross-section, then defining an element.
