modelling a semieliiptical crack on 2D surface

Hi

I have some questions on modelling a crack in ANSYS + simply supported geometries on a plate

I want to model either one of these procedures, but I have no idea to tackle each limitations:

(1) to create a surface model ( which gives me 2D geometry so that I can add simply supports) BUT I can't model an elliptical crack

(2) to create a solid model (which results in 3D model so that I can easily model the crack) BUT I have no idea to capture the simply support boundary conditions

Do you have any advices on either of these conditions?

Using the second method that I've mentioned before, I could apply the simply-support conditions, as this figure. Thank you for your attention
