In SpaceClaim what is the difference between Fill Command and Blend Command?

Hi,

I have noticed in a number of tutorials that some users will create a floor or road by using either Fill or Blend, command highlighted in screenshot below.

I would be interested in understanding the difference between the two alternative approaches.

What is the most appropriate to model a concrete floor in a structure?
