3D-0D coupling
Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a 3D fluid simulation where the boundary conditions are 0D three element windkessel models. I was wondering if there is any guide for doing so and if this is possible using Ansys. I would appreciate if someone could clarify me how to do this on Ansys.
Many thanks

hi!
Please have a look at the windkessel app on the Ansys app store.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for the reply. Is there any way to use that app on the Ansys 2020 version? It seems that app is only supported by Ansys 17... Or is there any other way to define this 0D boundary conditions?
Many thanks
@GrelH5, unfortunately this ACT hasn't been updated recently so it won't work past version 17.2. However the underlying UDF and Scheme file are included in the App files so you can still use this feature. You'll need to modify the modify the .scm a bit to make it work by manually specifying some variables that are set by the ACT. If you run the .scm, you'll see what variables these are. You'll also need to manually compile the UDF and put the compiled files in a location that is specified in the .scm.
