Has anyone seen /lib64/libk5crypto.so.3: undefined symbol: EVP_KDF_ctrl, version OPENSSL_1_1_1b

We are running Ansys v211 on a cluster using Centos 8. The installation went just fine. No errors. We use a license server and prior versions to v211 run fine. We are an academic institution. When I start runwb2 I get the following error:

/packages/ansys/21r1/v211/licensingclient/linx64/ansyscl: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libk5crypto.so.3: undefined symbol: EVP_KDF_ctrl, version OPENSSL_1_1_1b

We have the following rpms installed:

openssl.x86_64                                                     1:1.1.1g-12.el8_3

krb5-libs.x86_64                                                       1.18.2-5.el8

Any idea how to rectify the error?
