The image below is the SpaceClaim 2020 R1 and R2 Save as type list. It seems like ANSYS has removed the ability to Save As a long list of other types in 2021 R1. You can still download 2020 R2 version. Maybe you should consider installing the older version.
@Aniket@kkanade Any comment on this change for SpaceClaim 2021 R1?
Ansys customers with active commercial software licenses can access the customer portal and submit support questions. You will need your active account number to register.
All Lumerical installation and licensing questions should be posted in the Ansys Products Installation category.

@Gate9er
Yes, just do File Save As and change the file type.
Tried that but the only option is the spaceclaim format.
P.S. Using the latest version 2021 R1.

@Gate9er why do you want to save as step?
You can directly connect SpaceClaim to downstream applications.

@kkanade
Suppose a student uses SpaceClaim to design a part and plans to make a physical prototype for testing to validate their FE model.
They need a neutral file to send to the machine shop since that downstream app doesn't read SpaceClaim files.
You can see here
Import is listed for step. But no export is listed.
Thanks for the answers. I have now reconstructed the geometry in the licensed version.
Nevertheless, I agree with @peteroznewman, step file should be available for all Ansys licenses.
