There is a rumour that Ryzen CPUs cannot run the simulation on Ansys Fluent as they are not optimized for Ansys? How true is this statement?
Can the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 coupled with Ryzen 9 4900H be used for Ansys Fluent?
Please respond to my this query
Link to ANSYS Product Platform plans below.
Here is a quote from that plan: "We focus on support of Windows and Linux operating systems, running on x64 processors from Intel and AMD. These are the dominant platforms for engineering simulation today."
Just because Ryzen is not listed, doesn't mean ANSYS won't run on that platform, it means they are not testing it so they don't know.
When you ask about the GeForce RTX 2060, are you asking about it for use as a Display graphics card or as a GPU for computational acceleration?
ANSYS verifies that their software runs on a small number of GPUs.
Here is the list of tested GPUs for each Product. Look at the Fluent category.
