Stabilization During Post Buckling with Progressive Failure Analysis
I am working on post buckling of quasi-isotropic composite plates. During the analysis using Newton-Rapshon with non-linear stabilization, I encounter with divergence problem where the stiffness gets closer to zero (also, with Arc-length method too). As I want to see progressive failure before the model gets unstable. I couldn't succeed finding the proper stabilization factor (either energy and damping factor).
I know that Abaqus has an adaptive automatic stabilization scheme which updates the stabilization factor during the analysis within each substep without restarting the analysis. This methodology helps to overcome the divergence problem as given in this reference paper (10.1016/j.compositesb.2017.03.066).
Is there any way to activate a methodology such as in Abaqus or is it possible to inject stabilization factor during the analysis within each substep or equilibrium iterations etc.
