How to determine Critical Buckling Load in a thin-walled cylinder

So i have used eigenvalue buckling for my linear buckling analysis and i get a critical buckling load of 50e3 N. I now have to do a nonlinear analysis through turning on nonlinearites in the settings. I then add a compressive force about 10% higher than the initial critical buckling load i calcualted in the linear analysis. However, how do i tell from here when the critical buckling load is? I am thinking that i should have my loading as a function of time, so that the time where my solution fails to converge is the critical buckling load.. IDK how to do this though.
