The Shielded Detached Eddy Simulation (SDES) and Stress-Blended Eddy Simulation (SBES) are two of the hybrid RANS-LES modes that are available in Fluent, which are recommended over the DDES. Please check out our User Guide and Theory Guide to get a sense of how the models have been formulated.
