THe ekill command is fine, and works. Below is a spring (combin14) added under the connection folder and highlighted in yellow is a command snippet saying that sp1=_sid (we need to use this name), which will allow one to choose this spring when we insert the ekill commands as follow say (second command snippet under Force see below active only for step 2 say):
esel,s,type,,sp1 ! choose spring element
EKILL,ALL
allsel,all
