So the way I have applied the load is like this, incrementally up until around 28kN. So you are suggesting that I break up the load for each step into more substep? nAlso, when I did the analysis, I changed the default structural steel data i.e. just changed the ultimate tensile strength to 560MPa and Yield Strength to 500MPa whilst keeping all the other factors the same, would this have any effect? nOne more thing, I was applying the force onto the rebar whilst the only boundary condition was the top of the cylinder was fixed and because I have symmetry in the XZ plane I think that also acts as a boundary condition?. Am I required to have any other boundary condition? n
