Hi Layth,nPeriodic boundary condition in material designer is the same as linear periodic boundary in Mechanical. Take a look at this chapter of Mechanical User' Guide. https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v202/en/wb_sim/ds_Symmetry_Region.html%23ds_linear_periodic. For example, if you calculating tensile Z, material designer will apply periodic boundary conditions in x and y directions, assuming x and y directions are infinitely long.nKainn
