I totally understand what you are referring to. The terminal velocity of a single particle in the fluid give a good estimation of the free-fall time scale, depending on the size of the container. Let's assume this time is T . The intrinsic viscosity of fluid and also granular model should suppress those movement in 10 T. I have assumed that 10 times more than settling time should be sufficient. I don't see any trend of getting slower. n
