You can draw the lines in the XY plane and add Displacement boundary conditions to keep the nodes in the XY plane.nORnYou can draw a cantilever beam in 2D by creating a surface in the XY plane and setting the Geometry cell in Workbench to Analysis Type = 2D.nWhen you mesh this surface using Mechanical, it will automatically be meshed with 2D elements. nYou have to choose between Plane Stress and assign a thickness, or Plane Strain for an infinite thickness.nn
