nThree quad elements would most easily mesh that L-shaped surface. Add one node on the 1-2 edge of E1 below node #7. Then you will have a square element in the corner and two rectangular elements.nIf you must have exactly 2 elements, then delete node #4 and the two elements will share an edge between nodes 1 and 7, but the element shape will be of poor quality.n
