That depends what you are looking at exactly. The transient solver solves each time step, so you will get information for every time step. How important is the exact behavior over time? If you want to look at thermal expansion after e.g. 5 minutes, the solutions for transient and steady-state might be similar if you have already reached an equilibrium at that point. Thank you for your reply. I want to know values of the relative displacment caused by thermal expansion and other forces at differen time points. ( There are different values of temperature at diffenrent time steps). n
