nI appreciate the guidance on the theory, however he wants to see how his design responds on a simulation and that's largely where my concern lies - since the contact angle stays constant, due to the log curve of the cam, and the CoF is constant, the system should see a constant friction force over the range of openings/crack width correct? So would this mean the weird fluctuations in the the frictional results is solely due to the element size during the analysis?.Thanks againn
