What's the mesh like in the shedding/separation region? Remember y+ is only the first cell height, the inflation layer thickness and cell density also matter. nPISO is better for transient runs, and I'd tend to favour PBCS for most applications now over SIMPLE(C). If it's transient relaxing the PBCS Courant Number or time factor can help but you then may be smearing out real transient flow features. n
