If the particle is steady on a transient flow field then it's tracked until hitting the end of the max number of steps is reached. The particle time is recorded on the particle rather than on the cells. The theory guide will explain how the sources are transferred from the particle to the flow.nYou're seeing the dots as I suspect you've got point selected to show the particle position, line would give you a continuous trajectory. To see the particle move with the flow (ie just see a dot or shorter path of dots if the injection is continuous) turn on transient particle tracking too. n
