ArrayInstead, think that displacement of a node connected to 8 elements is unknown, but the stiffness of those 8 elements will be used to compute the displacement of that node in a big stiffness matrix that has all the other nodes in it as well. Why can't this be further extended to calculate the strain as well as as stress at that node then?n
