I'm not familiar with DOFs in Fluent: if the cell count is high enough parallel always speeds things up. Check if you have 3HPC or 3 HPC packs, the latter should be good for 128-ish cores (the exact count may be 132, but I can't remember how the solver key increments now). nmay know more. n
