You could physically move the plate in a large deflection transient analysis with displacements using the magneto-structural option of elements 223/226/227. The movement couldn't be very large as the air elements are distorted by the relative motion of the plate to the magnet. Resistivity should be specified for the plate. To quickly obtain a steady state velocity in a short solution time, an initial velocity of the plate should be specified with the IC command and then continued with the non-zero D commands.n
