HiAs we said the APDL solver is not suitable for this as the elements representing the air would distort and can thus not capture this.nnWe do though have a BEM/FEM EM solver (Ansys LS-Dyna) which is perfectly suited for this type of problems since we do not have to create a mesh for the air domain.nWith this solver we can capture the type of phenomena that you mention and even extreme cases of EM braking like the dropping magnet in a Faraday-Lenz experiment modeled here below with LS-Dyna:nFor more info on our BEM/FEM EM Solver and for some examples see here:nn
