It shouldn't make any difference, other than outside of Workbench (WB) you have one less piece of software running. Inside of WB you have the workflows and parameter managers but no flexibility in what (and where) files are saved. Outside of WB you lose the workflows and most parameter tools but gain control over what files you save, their names and where they're put. In my role on support and when working on consult projects I tend to use a mix, but invariably run the Fluent jobs outside of WB. n
