,nValidation of simulation models with experimental data is always a challenging task. Apart from verifying the material model and data you could try the following changes. I see you have used both symmetry as well as remote displacements at the cell and bead edges, right? A symmetry object takes care off constraining appropriate DOF's at the symmetry plane, you don't need to specify remote displacements again to do that( and you may have constrained the wrong dof's adding additional stiffness to the edges, preventing it from deforming). Secondly, try using a face to face bonded contact instead of a face to edge. I believe that would be more realistic. Also instead of using a force to pull the bead, use a displacement in x direction and monitor the force using reaction probe.nRegards,nIshan.n
