It is a random occurrence. That's why it makes totally sense to me at least, that other similar models won't necessarily replicate the same issue.
Of course, if this would happen for every other MPC-bonded contact with Large Deflection: On (especially of this model simplicity), their would be an outcry, don't you think? ; )
But then (hypothetically speaking), reasons for this issue would be soon well-known, communicated and every one could live with it by using one of the plenty workarounds mentioned officially. For example a rule like: "Each face of a MPC contact pair MUST STRICTLY have the exact same outer dimensions by using imprints."
