You could first go to spaceclaim measure> check geometry to identify any errors or warnings. Next do a geometry cleanup using the repair and prepare tool (there are plenty of youtube videos on this) This includes merging any small faces across your thickness or as I see on the left most end. You could also get a uniform chanfer/fillet instead of what is there in figure 1. Next specify a small defeature size under mesh>sizing to avoid meshing these small entities. If the thickness of the blade is the smallest geometric dimension, a defeature value equal to the thickness should do. Since the body is very thin, you might try specifying a edge sizing across the thickness to ensure small enough elements are created across it.
