Because CHARGE is a charge transport solver, and not a Maxwell equation solver like MODE and FDTD, it uses different properties to specify the materials. Information on the electrical material models used by CHARGE can be found here:
You will need to use one of these material models for lithium niobate if you would like to use include it in a CHARGE simulation.
