Parameters can be also set as functions of the other parameters. These are called custom parameters.
In the parameter set window , on selecting the respective parameter, in 'Properties of Outline' in the 'Expression' you can define the thickness of the middle portion of the geometry as a dependent parameter to a new parameter of length of middle section (As the thickness varies with the length of middle section). It can be stated as equation with the new parameter as a variable.
