Hi, Yes, I'm running free student software. Thanks for your reply. My issue is solved. Here's what I did to solve the issue:

Since the conflict seemed to be coming from previous license file, hence, I removed the previous license file from C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\licensing\license_files  and placed the new license file by renaming it to ansyslmd2.lic. It's working now.
