The pathlines go where the flow goes, so if the air "particle" doesn't enter the recirculation zone you'll not see the eddy. If you alter the release position (use a line, or surface) to be different to the inlet it may show up. Otherwise look at iso-surfaces of velocity and/or turbulence.
