Yes you are right that, when you define the bending radius and arc angle, the bend is fixed as circular waveguide bend, similar to a section of a ring waveguide.
the S bend in the object library uses special Baysian interpolation, given height and fixed angle of 90 or 180 deg. If the waveguide bend has only 30 deg bend, you can use circle to define starting and stop angles:
