Okay. I've found the scaling factor dropdown. It's under the Results tab and was set to some auto-scale that radically exaggerated the formation. Set it to 1.0 (True Scale) and I'm now seeing what I expected.
I suppose I should've noted the scale values a bit better but as a first run through it was just a surprise.
