If you're using Fluent I suggest doing the post processing there too: CFD Post may look prettier but it's another tool you (don't) need to learn.
If you're adding the other phase using VOF patch the first cell layer with the same fluid as is coming from the inlet. It's an old (and well known) trick to prevent the solver doing anything weird with the volume fractions.
