Thanks for the reply, I figured out the increased response was because of one rigid mode in my model and i somehow was ignoring the fact that it'll not affect the transient result. (The rigid mode in modal analysis was desired). I couldn't find a way to ignore(bypass) the first mode and run the transient without it. so i had to suppress it and run the solution. The response i'm getting now resembles the input data.
