The reinforcements (type) need to be modeled as line bodies, and then we can choose reinforcement type – the tutorial I show that it is 2021 R1 so the reinforcements are not available in 2020 R1 (as you also noticed) – one would need to upgrade to a newer version to use them (reinforcements) inside Mechanical - I would suggest to upgrade to at least 2022 R2 - any older models clike 2020 R1 can be opened with a newer version (not with an older though).
