Even though you may want a static solution, it is sometimes worthwhile getting one benefit of Explicit Dynamics and putting up with new difficulties it adds.

This mesh looks like it is made of solid elements and by default the element order would be quadratic in Static Structural.  This will be a problem in Explicit Dynamics, as the element order must be linear.  You need a minimum of 4 linear elements through the thickess. That will be a meshing challenge.

Another option is to mid-surface the solid and use shell elements.  I don't know if Explicit Dynamics respects the shell thickness using Body Interactions. You would want to know that before you go that direction.
