Thanks, David - this gives me some useful information. I would really like to stick with MaterialDesigner, since it has some great capabilities for what I am trying to do. Is there somewhere I could go to to find a simple example of either APDL or Python code or a parametric study that is capable of 1) Changing a parameter (such as the mesh size) and 2) solving for the new mechanical properties, all within MaterialDesigner (not in static structural or discovery)?
