Symmetry boundary conditions can be specified in the same ways you'd use for a Lagrangian model. Either *BOUNDARY_SPC_SET or *CONSTRAINED_GLOBAL should work.
If you want to properly calculate the deformed shape of the target (copper), include enough mesh surrounding the target to allow flow of copper into that space.
