Peter, I think there is no need to write the .case file because I have the .case file and the desired geometry. Only the .msh file should be extracted from it. I opened Fluent and then set it to meshing mode and imported the .cas file into Fluent. Next, I clicked on File -> Write -> Mesh and outputted the .msh file, but the output file is in '.msh.h5 ' format. Is this what you mean ? I opened this in Fluent with no problem.
