To transfer files to an Ansys Gateway powered by AWS Virtual Machines using WinSCP:

  1. Obtain approval from your IT to use WinSCP.
  2. Get the private IP address and superadmin password of the VM.
  3. Use a VPN if your VPC is behind a firewall.
  4. Download and install WinSCP.
  5. Launch WinSCP and enter the VM details (IP address, username, password).
  6. Connect to the VM.
  7. Use the WinSCP interface to transfer files between your local machine and the VM.
  8. Monitor the file transfer progress.
  9. Disconnect from the VM when finished.
  10. Close WinSCP.
